I went to your presentation in Walthan for Code Camp 10 for new features in C# 3.0 and thought you did a very good job.

I also like your blog and the detail about other presentations you have done. Keep up the good work.

I saw both your C# 3.0 (I came up with the 'why extension classes are static' answer) and MSBuild presentations. Great job!

How did you get involved in presenting at CodeCamps/user groups?

In early 2007 I decided I wanted to be more involved in the community. I couldn't find an active, local user group. With the help of a few others in the area, I started the Columbia Enterprise Developers Guild. Soon after I volunteered at a Code Camp in Charlotte, NC (I had volunteered for one a year beforehand). I decided I wanted to speak, so I prepared a presentation and gave it at a nearby user group. Then I started applying whenever I saw a call for speakers.

Are you considering going down the speaker route as well?
